What’s your favorite line from a movie?

‘Do watch out for bones, you can never be too careful when you eat avocados…’ Audrey fforbes-Hamilton to the Vicar she loathes over dinner in To the Manor Born, 1979.

Which movie do you love but would be embarrassed to talk about in a serious, intellectual conversation?

What’s Up Doc (Warner Bros 1972) with Ryan O’Neal, Madeleine Kahn and Barbra Streisand. A cult remake of the typical screwball ‘bags-get-mixed-up-and-hysterical-people-start-chasing-each-other” comedy of the 30s.

The tune of the moment?

The Wilhelm Scream, by James Blake.

Name a museum where you’d be happy to be locked in for the night?

Louisiana – a museum with an outstanding permanent collection, housed in a magnificent, Danish retro design building from the late 50s. Located beautifully north of Copenhagen, overlooking the Swedish coastline across the sea.

The three books you’d take with you for a very, very, very long 100% environmentally friendly trip overseas?

  • The Year of Magical Thinking, by Joan Didion.
  • Franny and Zooey, by J.D. Salinger.
  • Tender is the Night, by F. Scott Fitzgerald.

You can give two “cultural items” (be it a book, a painting, a movie, a record or anything else), one to the person you like the most, one to the person that bores you the most. What would these two items be?

To the the person I like the most:
a live performance of Faramondo, by Georg Friedrich Handel in the Sainte-Chapelle, Paris. To the person that bores me the most: a 24-hour one-on-one session with Marina Abramović…anywhere.

What painting would you steal if you could magically become invisible for a few hours?

The Scream, by Edvard Munch, just to see how the Norwegians would react when the painting that ‘is impossible to steal’ has disappeared…once again.

Which artist, alive or not, in any given field, would you love to party with for a wild, wild night?

Andy Warhol and anyone who would hang out with him at Studio 54 in the summer of 78.
